DEPART: architecture, detail and precision in every junction

Precision and materiality in the DEPART project

Located in Buenos Aires city at the intersection of Vidal and Olaguer Feliú, between the neibourhoods of Colegiales and Belgrano, DEPART is a development by the UNO EN UNO studio, under the direction of Architect Daniela Nudel, set in front of the linear park and incorporating its surroundings as an integral part of the project.

The architectural proposal treats the corner as a strategic point: the building steps back and terraces to open up views, optimize natural light and create real outdoor extensions toward the landscape. Generous terraces and shared spaces support a contemporary way of living, where interior and exterior are fluidly connected.

From the outset, the project prioritized quality in junctions and finishes. In this context, profiles and baseboards were integrated into the architectural design as part of the construction system, not as a later addition.

ATRIM’s anodized aluminum baseboards and profiles were mainly applied in shared areas, resolving transitions, edges and joints with technical precision and low maintenance. The choice of gold-toned finishes adds a contemporary reading aligned with the project’s aesthetic and its emphasis on quality.

"Designing a corner means deciding how a building enters into dialogue with the city."
Arq. Daniela Nudel

The collaborative work with ATRIM’s Projects Department made it possible to define these solutions from early stages, ensuring consistency between design, specification and on-site execution

DEPART demonstrates how early planning of details improves the project’s final outcome and ensures consistency across every space
